Whats Up, Blog?
Right,
I’ve decided to start blogging again. Recently, I’ve been wanting to get my point across in more than the 140 characters that twitter lets you. And if I have got my point across, I often get several replies that would be better if one another could see the replies.
Other times i’ve come across ground-breaking code. or i’ve written earth-shattering nerdiness that would be simply rude not to share with my fellow humans.
So I wanted a medium to express my views about why I haven’t fully accepted HTML5, or why Responsive web design has yet to make it onto my agenda Or if i have, a medium to share the code. And I wanted a place for fellow nerds, geeks and people to rant and rave about how stupid I am or correct me.
So here we are. mikestreety.co.uk is now just a blog. And the horrible default theme? Its to kick-start me into making a sleek, sexy, HTML5, CSS3, Media-queried blog. If you’re not seeing the nice default theme, its because i’ve started work. And if my horribleness is on show to the public, that should make me sort my live out.
OK, I got 1st. So now the serious stuff.
Good luck Mike, I mean that in a nice way, not, “Yeah, good luck with THAT!”.
I’ve tried it — a few times — but I never found the time.
It will be interesting to see how your blog changes form the default, TwentyEleven theme to something “sleek, sexy, HTML5, CSS3 and Media-queried”.
Oh, and don’t forget to change your permalinks.
Good move Mike, I’m looking forward to seeing how it progresses!
You know I’m doing the same over on my blog and the only reason I done it is because I’ve been threatening to redesign my site for months and months but never actually started it. Redesigning publicly means that people are watching and it’s a good motivator to start.
Also looking forward to this kick-ass code!
